YELLO TOUCHES FELD HOMMES
They are back. The formation of the famous Swiss band named Yello. It was started by Boris Blank und Dieter Meier – exactly 30 years ago. Yello were truly techno before techno became what it is now. Their 80s output is impressive ending with the Flag from 1988. The Race was their biggest selling single worldwide although in the US Oh Yeah will forever define the duo.
And now they released their new album „Touch“ with a spectaculor party. The multimedia event touched down at the Kino Internation in Berlin on October 1st and gave a wonderful representation to the soundscapes of Yello as well as new material from the new album Touch Yello. For the creation of this virtual concert Dieter Meier and Boris Blank worked with Kevin Blanc, a Swiss moving image designer and art director. “We are very pleased to film Touch Yello within the framework of Electronic Beats Classics”, said Boris and adds that the film “is a virtual concert that had its premiere in Berlin with live- performances by jazz musician Till Brönner and ballads by the singer Heidi Happy.”
